On a visit to Clear Spring School, this is what you'd find

" Progressive Education: Why It’s Hard to Beat, But Also Hard to Find" By Alfie Kohn was published in the Spring 2008 issue of Independent School and describes the kind of education offered at Clear Spring School for over 30 years.

Our mission?

And here's the secret: "...progressive education is not only less familiar but also much harder to do, and especially to do well."

Yes, it takes a greater commitment to our children. It takes more teachers, smaller classes, visionary administrators, creative teachers, and imagination.

But we make a decision whether we want kids turned out at factories, mindless, bored, dumbed down, depressed and maybe angry... or ready to rock the world with new levels of passion, compassion and creativity.
