Box making day two
Today was the second day of my box making class at the Eureka Springs School of the arts. In the photos above and below, you can see Bill studying the assembly of his box, while Tillian makes grooves on the edges of his top panel to fit the sides. Bob assists with safety on the table saw.

To me it looks like bob is going to cut off the tips of his fingers. If thats safety I don't want any part of that.

The blade is only 3/16 inches above the height of the table and only 1/8" from the fence. It would be very hard for an accident to do much damage in this circumstance, but I agree that if a person were taking a deep cut, this would not be an appropriate method.
