Here are a few photos of student work from a great week at ESSA. I'll be teaching box making there later in the summer.

This blog is dedicated to sharing the concept that our hands are essential to learning- that we engage the world and its wonders, sensing and creating primarily through the agency of our hands. We abandon our children to education in boredom and intellectual escapism by failing to engage their hands in learning and making.
Doug, it was so nice to see you at ESSA this week. I'm honored you have posted a picture of my work on your blog.

Dana, It was nice to see your work, and to have a chance to put it on the blog. It is always amazing to see such growth happen in a week at ESSA. Dolph is such an amazing teacher and it must have been nice to have him in a small class.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a pleasure to be in class with Dolph for a whole week. He is a kind and gentle teacher with such an approachable personality. I have taken his class twice now, and feel I really had a break-through last week.
