This blog is dedicated to sharing the concept that our hands are essential to learning- that we engage the world and its wonders, sensing and creating primarily through the agency of our hands. Looking around my home, even if it's only in my mind as I sit here at the computer, it's clear that the things that most matter to me are either photos and other mementoes of my family, my woodworking tools and my musical instruments. And all of those, except for the old family photos, are easily replaced.
ReplyDeleteI spent the Sunday before Thanksgiving and all that shopping madness at a craft sale, and did relatively well. People of all ages picked up my work and felt it, commented on it, and even if they didn't buy it, they showed some appreciation for my work. The best moments were when kids asked how a particular item was made.
