This blog is dedicated to sharing the concept that our hands are essential to learning- that we engage the world and its wonders, sensing and creating primarily through the agency of our hands. We abandon our children to education in boredom and intellectual escapism by failing to engage their hands in learning and making.

what's a car without a bit of color?
This year the students wanted to paint a few of their cars, and I would prefer in most cases that they be left plain rather than be done sloppy. But for some kids, the pleasure of applying the paint is of greater importance than how the project looks when completed. The photo below shows a few cars done by the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grade students, and showing a bit more maturity and naturally higher standards and skill in the application of paint. But fun was had by all.
